Better Living With MS Through Information and Old Tricks
What is MS?
MS is a complex, chronic, neurological disease of the central nervous system that affects all aspects of one’s life.
Advancement in the field of MS has improved the ability to diagnose and teat the disease. Onset is usually between the ages of eighteen and sixty, making it a prime of life disease, impacting people when they are just starting families and careers.
There are presently over 450,000 cases in the U.S. and over 2.5 million worldwide. The disease is found more frequently in the northeast than in other regions of the country. It affects more women than men. A new case is diagnosed every hour. There is currently no cure for MS.
How We Help
Our organization offers free informational materials regarding multiple sclerosis, as well as a lending library of educational DVDs and books.
We are available to answer any questions, or help in any way we can, with insurance issues, equipment necessities (wheel-chairs, walkers, etc.). If we are unable to answer questions, we will find the right source or agency that can.
The goal of our website is to provide information on upcoming events and resources.
